Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is now available in Nigeria all across (Abuja, Lagos, Port-Harcourt..) at the price of  NGN 952,100 to NGN 1,192,700. The 8.02-inch foldable LTPO2 OLED display, Android 12 MIUI Fold 13, triple rear and 20MP front cameras, Qualcomm SM8475 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (4 nm) Chipset, Octa core CPU, and a 4500 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with 67W fast battery charging are among the features of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, which was released in August 2022.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 comes in two colour options: Star Gold (gold) and Moon Shadow (anthracite). The external glass is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and the aluminium frame is extremely polished. The matte glass on the camera side also turns out to be a fingerprint magnet. The foldable panel of Xiaomi has a screen protector attached to it, and there is a noticeable crease.

Not all of the features that the Xiaomi Fold 2 offers are of the highest calibre. For instance, video output is not supported via the USB port, which only employs the 2.0 standard. Furthermore, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are not up to par with the capabilities of the SoC, and a UWB chip is not included at all.

The layout and quality of Mix Fold 2 are excellent. It is much thinner than the Fold4 (16 mm) when folded, measuring only 11.2 mm when folded. Fitting neatly in a trouser pocket without feeling hefty, the device hardly feels thicker in the hand than an iPhone 14 Pro Max in a cover. Only 5.4 millimetres separate the foldable smartphone’s open dimensions. Not exactly leaving the strongest of impressions, but it feels and looks fine. There’s a lot of play in the hinge area, but it doesn’t squeak when twisted carefully.
